Stoneware
This is my first large bottle.
I did it in 1972 at Cal Poly
with 70lbs of clay thrown at one time.
I entered this in Pottery II, Paul Soldner juror,
and it was not accepted.
The following year, Pottery III, I'd stopped making pottery but
entered it again and it won.
In 1997 I met Paul Soldner and told
him he'd rejected my piece way
back then and he said "I guess I've been
on your shit list ever since, haven't I."
We both laughed and I was happy that I'd mentioned it.
